Duty Free

Duty Free Shoppers opened in Hong Kong in 1960, spreading overseas to become the world’s largest travel retailer of luxury goods. An identity was needed to make the growing brand instantly recognisable. A typeface emulating the stenciled writing on cargo crates was designed to spell out Duty Free. Appearing in a red circle, symbolic of strength and continuity, the logo is easily recognisable and does the job.
