HSBC
By 1980, the Hongkong Bank was a major force in global finance, but without a single and distinctive visual identity. A hexagon based on Chinese Geomancy, with four poles (四面) and eight directions (八方), was created to bring business in all directions. The mark also references the St. Andrews’s cross and bank’s Scottish heritage. An Enduring identifier for “the world’s local bank”.
